A series of installations and improvements at the Wedgwood Stoke-on-Trent factory with both V&A Wedgwood Collection and World of Wedgwood. The projects look to tie together the distinct uses of the site - museum, archive, shop, and factory. One project at the site - Unpacking The V&A Wedgwood Collection - is an exhibition which focuses on objects catalogued in the live process of unpacking the 165,000-object collection. Displays change regularly. The display is constructed entirely from off-the-shelf products and from the materials of the archive, including cardboard packing tubes, spent pottery molds, padded protective layers, recycled plastic packaging crates, and only fixed together using ratchet straps. Our ongoing and larger project is the re-hang of the V&A collection permanent galleries, a display of over 1000sqm and over 3000 objects, and a scheme to upgrade the collection store and the public route.
